Saying "so much" in Norwegian

If English is your native tongue, you have a huge advantage when learning Norwegian.
Many of the expressions are the same and the structure of the phrases tend to be similar. Still, often the problem is that you cannot translate directly even though it simingly seems like this.

One of the common phrases in English - when expressing something you like or dislike a lot - it is common to translate from the phrase "so much" as it seems so easy.
Problem is that if you translate that to "så mye" you will be wrong. "Mye" is an adjective in Norwegian. It can express the volume of something but cannot express how strongly you feel about something.

So - you cannot say "Jeg liker Norge så mye". Instead you would say "Jeg liker Norge veldig godt". You can say "Jeg liker Norge så godt".
Even though the ladder is not quite as good as the former.
